Description

Scala is a beautiful multi-purpose venue in the regenerated King´s Cross area, on the north side of central London. The building incorporates four main floors and accommodates events for as many as 1,145 people. There are three bars, 2 dance floors and a stage for live performances. There is a cloakroom on the first floor.

The stage in the main room is spot on, spacious yet intimate. Punters can get up close and personal without ridiculous security measures. Raised platforms and a balcony mean a good view is guaranteed and whilst the main room decor leaves a lot to be desired, the quality of the acts will quickly divert your attention.

A bright and roomy entrance offers a brief respite or the chance to refill at the bar, but if you are attending one of the many club nights, it won´t be long before you want to get back to the floor.

The Scala hosts regular weekend club nights but is also a very popular venue for live music on week nights. Scala´s history of live music shows include Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Moby, Super Furry Animals, Chemical Brothers, Kruder & Dorfmeister The Doves, Dido, Outkast, Lionel Ritchie, Stereophonics, Sophie Ellis Bexter, Suede, Gomez, Elbow, Robbie Williams, The Rapture, Hanoi Rocks, Kelis, Kosheen, Chicane, The Scissors Sisters and Joss Stone.
