In a classic example of a venue doing more or less exactly what it says on the tin, this is a stylish, trendy lounge bar (and daytime brasserie) in an exclusive part of town which serves delicious and innovative cocktails.

It really is the best bet in this part of the world. The mixologist, the marvellously named Tulip Eslami, specialises in quirky fusions, such as the ´Beautini´, or fruit martini.

There is a good amount of live music in the evenings, which makes this a fun and trendy place to hang out in and sip a drink, and further innovations are planned, including an upmarket Pop Idol-esque talent competition.

The trendy young of the Chelsea set normally pitch up here en route to whichever nightclub will have the pleasure of their gold cards that night. And, yes, this does include Prince Harry and Chelsea Davy.

Weekends are heaving and buzzy, midweek is quieter and more relaxed, but there´s always a good atmosphere here.

Although it might seem as if there is an obligatory uniform of tweed, polo shirts and chinos, all of these are, in fact, optional dress and not compulsory.
