333 Mother Bar

Description

The Mother bar is situated on the first floor of 333, it provides a more intimate yet up-beat evening than that experienced in the actual 333 club below.

It´s dark but there are lots of interesting lights and the word "mother" is just about on every wall. There are some funky shaped chairs around the edge and a few bar stools but if you are going here, be prepared to stand. However there is an easy grip floor so at least its unlikely that you will fall over, even after a few bevies.

Above the bar hangs a "Courage Best" mirror (and I will warn you now - they don´t sell it) that provides a hint of nostalgia for that friendly feel of a good old English pub.

The Mother bar has a range of bottles, cocktails and some wine, the bar staff are helpful but it does get very busy later on, so expect to queue for a drink.

The Mother bar is a must for pre club occasions with its loud music and phat speakers, it´s the perfect opportunity for a warm up before hitting the dance floor downstairs. This is definitely an after 10pm affair unless you want the awkwardness of having the whole place to yourself.

The other customers will always surprise you as there is always a real range of age and taste, from late teens upwards, from grunge to soul. Though the place is at the heart of hip, there is no dress to impress attitude as with many other bars in the area.
